HIGH VOLUME DOESN’T GUARANTEE A BREAKOUT.
One thing I’m learning while studying $BTC charts:
Volume tells me how much trading activity took place. It does not tell me, by itself, what price will do next.
Before interpreting a move, I want to check three things:
1. Price Direction: Is price moving above resistance, below support, or staying in a range?
2. Candle Close: Did the candle actually close beyond the level, or did price briefly move through it?
3. Follow-Through: Does the next price action support the move, or does price return to the previous range?
High volume can accompany a strong move, a sharp rejection, or a period of uncertainty.
My learning takeaway: Volume is useful evidence, but it is not a standalone trading signal.
I’m learning to observe the full chart instead of relying on one indicator.
Question: When you see a high-volume candle, what do you check next—price structure, candle close, or follow-through?
