$BTC What caught my attention in James G’s setup was “laddered orders.”
I’m still learning about trading, so I’m trying to understand how he builds a position around a breakout. In this screenshot, he’s started a trade while keeping additional buy orders at lower levels.
My takeaway: spotting a breakout and deciding how to enter are two separate decisions. Spreading entries across levels means the whole position doesn’t depend on one entry price. It also means adding exposure if those orders fill — so the risk plan matters.
What I’d like to understand next is where he considers the setup invalid. The entries show part of the plan; knowing when the idea has failed would help me understand the rest.
Still learning, one setup at a time. NFA.
