🌕 $LUNA & $LUNC : The Story Through the Years

2018: Terraform Labs was founded by Do Kwon and Daniel Shin, with a vision for Terra’s decentralized payment ecosystem.

2022: LUNA reached an ATH of $119.55 in April. In May, UST lost its peg, triggering a catastrophic collapse. LUNA’s supply exploded and its value plunged by more than 99.99%.

2022 — After the crash: A new Terra chain launched with LUNA, while the original chain became Terra Classic (LUNC).

2023: The collapse entered a major legal chapter as Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro.

2024: Terraform Labs filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States.

2025–2026: The Terra ecosystem remained divided between LUNA and LUNC, with both trading far below their former highs.

From a crypto success story to a historic collapse, LUNA and LUNC remain one of the most dramatic chapters in cryptocurrency history.
