DTCC has detailed the initial scope of its planned Tokenization Service: 25 securities spanning select Russell 1000 shares, ETFs and U.S. Treasuries. The firm says approximately $30 trillion in DTC-held assets are potentially eligible for tokenization, but that figure is not the amount being issued at launch. Every token is designed to be backed 1:1 by securities held at DTC, which remains the official record keeper.

The initial networks are Canton and DTCC’s private Besu network. Transfers between registered wallets on the same chain are designed to operate 24/7, while conversions follow business-day hours. The roadmap names Stellar, associated with $XLM , and Circle’s Arc for 2027, not the initial rollout. #DTCC has not disclosed an exact launch day or the full list of 25 securities. This is regulated institutional infrastructure, not open retail tokenized-stock trading.
