$BTC ETF story looks weak at first glance — but one number made me look twice.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had a rough start to October. On October 14 alone, they recorded around $261.4 million in net outflows.
But on October 15, the picture changed slightly.
The same ETFs recorded a small net inflow of about $5.1 million.
That doesn’t suddenly make the market bullish. In fact, Bitcoin ETFs were still down roughly $146 million for the October 12–15 period.
$BTC is currently trading around $81.3K, with price still under pressure compared with the higher levels seen earlier this month.
What I find interesting is the change in the flow direction.
After several sessions of heavy selling, the latest session was basically flat-to-positive. For me, that is worth watching—not because it confirms a recovery, but because it shows how quickly institutional flows can change.
There’s another important point: ETF flows are only one piece of the market. Price, spot demand, liquidity and macro conditions still matter.
I’m not trying to predict the next $BTC move from one day of data. I’d rather see whether the ETF flows can stay stable over several sessions.
Do you think ETF flows are becoming more important for Bitcoin price action, or do you still focus mainly on the chart?
