Just ran across something weird and I can't stop thinking about it.
A US judge just shot down Gemini's appeal to throw out that $5 million settlement. What makes it wild is even the CFTC was backing Gemini on this one, and the judge still said no. I saw 2 different outlets cover it about 4 hours ago and honestly had to double check it.
It's crazy how legal drama barely moves $BTC these days. Years ago news like this would've caused a total mess across the board. Now? Silence.
I guess regulatory stuff is just background noise to most people now. Still, seeing a judge ignore a regulator who is actually agreeing with the exchange feels pretty strange.
