Thailand's crypto ETF rules switch on tomorrow, and only Bitcoin and Ether made the cut 🇹🇭
The Thai SEC finalized the rules on October 8, effective October 16. Funds must keep at least 80% exposure to $BTC or $ETH, use SEC-licensed custodians and list only on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Margin loans to buy them are off the table, and investors confirm the risks before trading.
Until now Thai mutual and private funds could buy crypto ETFs only from abroad. From tomorrow they get a local option.
