ZKsync Launches Airbender Prime for Real-Time Ethereum Proofs on a Single GPU.ZKsync has launched Airbender Prime, a prover that it says is the first to demonstrate real-time Ethereum proofs on a single GPU. According to ChainCatcher, the prover is designed for post-quantum security and uses a hash-based STARK, GKR sumcheck, WHIR polynomial commitments, and BLAKE2s hashing.
Its L1 proof will use Keccak-256-based commitments instead of BN254 pairings. The prover is built on the open RISC-V standard and combines real-time proving with an independent verifier.
In a single-GPU evaluation, one NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell proved 99% of 7,200 consecutive Ethereum mainnet blocks in under 10 seconds each, including witness preparation, and all blocks were completed within 12 seconds. ZKsync said Airbender Prime leads the ETHproofs public leaderboard in average proving time, GPU efficiency, and cost, and that it already has real-time configurations for dual-GPU and four-GPU setups while lowering the hardware requirements for proof generation.
