📊 DID YOU KNOW TWO CANDLESTICKS CAN COMBINE TO FORM A MARUBOZU-LIKE CANDLE?

Sometimes, two separate candlesticks can be combined to reveal a stronger price-action story. What looks like a bearish candle followed by a bullish candle may form a larger candle with a powerful body and small or no visible wicks.

But what does this combination tell us about market control?

HOW TWO CANDLES CAN FORM A MARUBOZU
A Marubozu candle is a candlestick with a large body and little or no wick. It represents strong directional pressure during the candle’s period.

🟢 Bullish Marubozu: Buyers dominate, pushing price upward with little rejection.

🔴 Bearish Marubozu: Sellers dominate, pushing price downward with little buying resistance.

How does combining two candles work?
When two consecutive candles are combined, the first candle’s open and the second candle’s close determine the combined body. The highest high and lowest low of both candles determine the combined candle’s extremes.

In the illustration, a bearish candle followed by a bullish candle is combined to create a larger candle that resembles a Marubozu.

However, combining two candles does not automatically create a true Marubozu. The resulting candle must still have little or no wick relative to its body.

WHAT DOES IT REPRESENT IN PRICE ACTION?
A strong bullish combined candle may suggest that buyers have taken control over the two-candle period. A strong bearish combined candle may indicate that sellers have gained control.

On the BTC chart, price previously rallied sharply from lower levels, reached a marked high around $87,395.67, and then began consolidating and pulling back around the displayed price of $83,732.01.

This suggests that bullish momentum has cooled near the recent high. Traders can study the candle bodies, wicks, volume, and nearby support and resistance to assess whether buyers are regaining strength or sellers are applying more pressure.
