The Mid-October Inflation Squeeze: Why Supply Dynamics Are Heating Up Before Monday Open

The Sunday charts are looking a bit heavy as we stare down a high-velocity week for the Binance ecosystem. While the weekend volume usually thins out, the underlying data suggests we are at a major crossroads for $BNB . We are sitting right around 748.37, essentially playing a game of chicken with the 50-day Simple Moving Average at 739.60. The rejection we saw at 800 earlier this month still looms large, but the focus is shifting away from just price action and toward the tightening supply mechanics.

The elephant in the room is the upcoming 37th quarterly burn. With 133 million tokens in circulation and the long-term target set at 100 million, these deflationary events are becoming much more impactful on the spot order books. On-chain transparency also shows the US government recently moved roughly 40,285 BNB tokens from seized Alameda Research funds. Even though this was categorized as routine custody, it adds a layer of external supply pressure that the market has to absorb.

Monday morning is going to be dominated by the macro calendar. Wednesday, October 14, brings the US CPI report at 8:30 AM ET, followed by PPI on Thursday. These are the two biggest levers the Fed has for their next interest rate decision, and any surprise in the inflation data will send ripples through Bitcoin and the broader altcoin market. We are also tracking some significant supply inflation elsewhere, with PUMP and DBR scheduled for cliff unlocks on October 14 and 17.

While Bitcoin holds the 80k level and Gold defends the 4100 area, the Dollar Index remains the main obstacle for a broader recovery in risk assets. I am watching the 730 support zone for BNB closely to see if buyers defend the territory or if we see a deeper sweep of liquidity before the burn hype kicks in.

Are you planning to add to your bags before the quarterly burn news drops, or are you staying on the sidelines until the CPI data clears?
