Wanchain #governance officially went live in September, marking a new step for community participation.
The first proposal was to increase the $WAN burn allocation from 10% to 20%. It passed with community support.
Based on current bridge volumes, annual WAN burns are projected to rise from roughly 554,000 WAN to around 1.1 million WAN.
With governance now live, the community has a direct role in decisions around the treasury, protocol parameters, Convert n’ Burn, xSTAKE, and other ecosystem matters.
This was only the first proposal. More community decisions are ahead.
