According to CNBC, world No. 3 women's tennis player Jessica Pegula said she could see herself helping run her family's sports organizations one day, but would not want the family to sell the NFL's Buffalo Bills or the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. Pegula, the daughter of Terry and Kim Pegula, said sports has been an important part of the family and that tennis helped her through difficult periods, including her mother Kim Pegula's 2022 health emergency and recovery. Terry and Kim Pegula bought the Bills for $1.4 billion in 2014 and the Sabres for $165 million in 2011; CNBC recently valued the Bills at $8.5 billion and the Sabres at $1.42 billion in its Official NHL Team Valuations 2025. Pegula also said her father would likely want to keep the teams in the family, though she said the future is uncertain.
