📉 #ALTCOİNS TOOK A BIGGER HIT THAN BITCOIN

The altcoin market reacted more sharply to the latest sell-off. Compared with the last close before the move, the median Top-100 altcoin fell roughly 2 percentage points more than Bitcoin.

The short-term damage was significant:

🔻 Coins trading above their 20-day moving average dropped from 56% to just 19% in a single session.

But the bigger picture is still different.

📊 The longer-term trend has bent — but it hasn’t broken.

Most Top-100 #altcoins are still trading above their 50-day moving average, while very few are sitting at 30-day lows.

For comparison, during the May 2026 market top, the percentage of coins above their 50-day average was cut roughly in half within a week. This time, the decline has been much more modest.

🔑 What does this mean?

#altcoins have clearly rolled over, but the current data does not yet show the same broad deterioration seen during May.

The key indicator to watch is the 50-day moving-average breadth.

If that percentage starts falling at a pace similar to May, it could signal that the market is entering a much deeper downtrend.

Until then, this looks more like a correction in the altcoin trend rather than confirmation of a new major leg lower.

⚠️ Watch breadth, not just price
