This morning, I came across this post from @justinsuntron, and there was one idea that really stayed with me.
Justin Sun wasn’t just talking about establishing the Justin Sun Prize. He brought up a much more interesting question:
If one day we become wealthy enough, what do we choose to do with what we have?
What I really like is that he chose to take the wealth created through the Blockchain world and give it back to mathematics, one of the fundamental foundations that made this industry possible in the first place.
It made me think about giving and passing things forward.
Because in the end, what we own may only stay with us for a certain period of time. But what we create for others can live on much longer.
And this prize isn’t simply about giving money to talented people. It’s also about creating incentives for people to discover new things and helping that knowledge continue to be passed on.
From wealth, to value.
From what we receive, to what we give forward.
