Sen. Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) said crypto legislation won't die despite today's expected no vote. "Over 70 million Americans are engaging in an industry that is unregulated, and we have a responsibility to regulate," she told reporters.

Alsobrooks helped negotiate both the GENIUS and Clarity bills but plans to vote against the market structure package. She accused GOP leadership of "playing a game" by forcing the vote while refusing to hold Trump accountable for alleged crypto "corruption."

The Maryland senator's comments signal Democrats may pursue alternative crypto regulation paths even if today's bill fails.
