Verify Before You React: Market Maker Deposit vs Actual Price Action

A claim circulated today that a large $ETH deposit to Binance directly caused a price decline.

What the chart actually shows:

ETH: $2,405.64
24h change: -0.70%
Previous close: $2,422.60

That is normal intraday movement, not a sharp breakdown.

Why this matters: exchange deposits from market makers happen constantly. They can mean liquidity provisioning, OTC settlement, collateral shifts, or selling. The transfer alone never confirms which.

Real confirmation would look like: sustained sell pressure in the order book, funding rate shifts, or a volume-backed structural breakdown. None of that is visible here.

This is a textbook reminder: verify the primary chart before accepting a causal narrative from a single post. Data first, conclusions second.
