|||| Dusk Network: The Trust Leak Nobody Puts In The Deck ||||

I've watched a hundred of these come and go, and Dusk's actually chasing a real problem — TradFi doesn't want Ethereum's glass house, and it sure doesn't want Monero's black box. So you get two lanes, Moonlight plain and visible, Phoenix hiding the who-sent-what behind ZK proofs. Clever plumbing.

But those proofs aren't free or fast — somebody's device is grinding through it, or you're outsourcing to a third party, which kind of defeats the point, doesn't it? And nullifier-based state doesn't prune, so running a full node eventually stops being a hobbyist thing and becomes a well-funded-entity thing. Ask yourself how decentralized that really is once it's down to a handful of operators.

Meanwhile they're pitching calm, neutral settlement infra for institutions — the same institutions that panic over a half-percent depeg — while the token's swinging triple digits in a month. That's not settlement infrastructure. That's a chart with a whitepaper attached.

Good tech, I'll give them that. I've just buried too many good-tech projects that never got the adoption to match.
