Been following Dusk for a while now and the quiet on-chain numbers after mainnet still confuse a lot of people. Most just shrug and file it under “another privacy chain” or “RWA that talks big but never moves.”
The part that actually stands out to me is how the XSC standard and Phoenix work together. It’s not just hiding balances. It lets regulated stuff run the full life cycle—who can hold it, forced transfers, dividends, voting—while the actual positions and flows stay encrypted. Only the people who are supposed to see the details can. On a normal public chain that information leaks the second a coupon pays or someone moves size. Pure privacy chains can’t give regulators what they need. Dusk sits right in the middle and makes the confidential path the default one.
That’s the real bottleneck for institutional money. They won’t park serious size on rails that broadcast their book to every watcher. Once that risk is gone, the liquidity starts showing up. Right now the market is still stuck counting TVL screenshots and partnership announcements, so this quieter infrastructure work is getting ignored.
I’ve sat through enough cycles to know these kinds of rails usually get noticed after the first real settlement volume appears, not before.
