A tiny residual after converting a highly precise stock fraction into $COINB can look suspicious if the precision rules are not clear.
The platform records stock positions to more decimal places than bStocks support. Amounts beyond the token's eight-decimal precision cannot be represented on-chain, so the residual is retained as a rounding difference. Binance states that this is not a fee or charge.
Small technical details are easy to ignore, but they are exactly what I want documented before using a financial product.
Should platforms explain rounding before or after the confirmation screen?
