I was digging into Dusk recently and one thing kept pulling my attention — the claim that privacy and regulatory compliance don't have to conflict if you build the right primitives from the start. Most protocols treat these as separate concerns. Dusk frames them as structurally inseparable.
What seems interesting is how ZK proofs let institutions prove compliance without exposing transaction data publicly. I'm not completely sure how this holds across different jurisdictions, but the design intent feels unusually deliberate.
The question that comes to mind is whether regulators will formally accept a ZK attestation over a traditional audit trail. Looking from the outside, that friction between proof and institutional trust feels like the real adoption barrier — and I sometimes wonder if it runs deeper than it looks.
