“The Builders Who Don’t Check the Price”

Every cycle has two kinds of participants: the ones who show up when price is exciting, and the ones who never left in the first place.

I’ve watched entire narratives DeFi summer, the NFT wave, the L2 race spike, crash, and then quietly mature into infrastructure everyone now takes for granted. The traders who chased the spike mostly left with less than they started. The builders who kept shipping through the boring stretch are the ones whose protocols are still standing.

That’s the uncomfortable truth about where we likely are in this cycle: the loud money has largely rotated out, and what’s left is a market recalibrating around fundamentals real usage, real revenue, real developer activity rather than reflexive hype.

If you’re serious about this space long-term, this is the phase to pay attention to GitHub commits, not just green candles. To track which teams kept building when nobody was watching. Those are usually the assets still relevant three cycles from now.

The market rewards patience disproportionately. Not because patience is a virtue in itself, but because most people don’t have it which makes it a genuine edge for those who do.
