@BabylonLabs_io (BABY) may sound like an exciting idea on paper, but I cannot ignore the bigger question behind it: do we really need another project trying to reshape BTC staking around promises of “better security”? Bitcoin was built on simplicity, transparency, and self-custody. The moment a project starts adding extra layers, new staking mechanics, and complex security narratives, it becomes fair to ask who truly benefits.
To me, the concern is not just technical. It is about trust. Crypto has already seen too many projects dress up innovation as necessity, while quietly creating more dependency, more confusion, and more room for risk. When a project says it will enhance security for PoS blockchains, that sounds useful, but it also raises a warning sign: are we solving a real problem, or building a new system that people will have to trust without fully understanding it?
I respect innovation, but not every innovation is healthy for the ecosystem. Sometimes the smartest move is to protect the original strength of Bitcoin instead of wrapping it in another narrative. Babylon may attract attention, but attention is not the same as long-term value. In crypto, real trust is earned slowly, not advertised loudly.
