Foresight News posted on X (formerly Twitter). Former Hack VC partner Hsin-Ju Chuang was found dead on August 24 near an Interstate 15 ramp in California's Mojave Desert, according to a post by crypto industry participant @0xjordy and local police reports. She was 37. Investigators said the cause of death remains under review, and it is not yet clear whether extreme heat, a sudden illness, mechanical failure, or another factor was involved.
Earlier, on August 24, Chuang published a lengthy post accusing Hack VC of misconduct and said she had rejected the firm's settlement offer. She said she had planned to release evidence related to her time at Hack VC on August 26.
Chuang said that while she was employed there, she was asked to keep working despite a medical emergency and was threatened with being blacklisted in the industry if she resigned before an event was completed. She also alleged that the company mishandled her health insurance after her departure and continued to pressure her during legal discussions.
