According to CNBC, Boeing delivered 53 jets in July, up from 48 a year earlier but down from 64 in June, while European rival Airbus delivered 67 planes. The U.S. planemaker also booked 30 net new orders after cancellations, including 38 gross orders and eight cancellations, with July deliveries including 39 737 MAX jets, 10 787s, one 777 freighter and three 767s. Through July, Boeing has delivered 367 jets this year and booked more than 130 orders for the 737-10. Boeing said its biggest order announcement at the Farnborough Airshow was for 100 737 MAX jets from Irish leasing firm SMBC Aviation, though that order was booked in June as from an unidentified customer.
