It was stated that executives working at former FTX and its sister companies will testify as witnesses in the case filed by the US Department of Justice against Sam "SBF" Bankman-Fried. It was stated that former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, FTX co-founder Gary Wang, former FTX engineering director Nishad Singh and former FTX COO Constance Wang could testify as witnesses at the hearing, which started on October 3.
It is stated that SkyBridge Capital co-founder Anthony Scaramucci may also testify as a witness. Scaramucci had previously criticized SBF's role in the crypto market crash in 2022. The hearings are expected to begin on October 4 and continue until November.
While Bankman-Fried faced seven charges in the first trial, five more charges will be considered in the second trial, which will begin in March 2024. This case raises the question of whether crypto exchanges can be trusted after the collapse of FTX. Share your comments with us.
