🚨 BREAKING: #DriftProtocol Suffers $200M Exploit, 🩸🩸🩸⚠️🚨 $DRIFT Token Crashes 34% Drift Protocol, Solana's leading decentralized perpetual exchange, has reportedly been hit by a major security exploit totaling approximately $200 million in potential losses. The incident was flagged by prominent Solana developer Mert Mumtaz, who identified strong on-chain indicators of an active attack. According to initial reports, the attacker allegedly exploited a bridge mechanism between Solana and Ethereum to mint unauthorized USDC and extract assets from the protocol. Approximately 4$ million in USDC has been minted so far, alongside seizures of 4$ million in Fartcoin and $3 million in Syrup Coin. The technical attack vector and full scope remain under investigation. The market reacted violently to the news. The $DRIFT token plummeted from $0.07243 to $0.04175 within hours—a devastating 34% intraday collapse—before stabilizing around $0.051. Trading volume exploded to 554 million DRIFT tokens ($28 million USDT), indicating mass panic selling and liquidity flight. Drift Protocol has yet to release an official statement confirming the breach or detailing remediation plans.
