The lawsuit also claims that MetaMask offered an unregistered securities program through its staking service for Lido (LDO) and Rocket Pool (RPL).đ
Interestingly, ConsenSys, which has facilitated over 36M crypto transactions in the past 4 years, only admitted that "at least 5M" of these were in "crypto asset securities."đ€
The SEC alleges these include Polygon (MATIC), Mana (MANA), Chiliz (CHZ), the Sandbox (SAND), and Luna (LUNA), with the possibility of others.đ°
The lawsuit comes just weeks after ConsenSys announced the SEC had ended investigations into the company tied to Ethereum.đ
