According to official news from Odaily, Sei DeFi Season 2 has officially launched. By connecting through a CEX wallet to Sei EVM and providing USDC liquidity to Yei Finance, users can earn token rewards. The total reward amount is up to 1.3 million SEI tokens. The event runs from April 15, 2025 to May 27, 2025.$SEI

According to official news, Larry, the head of Sei Network DeFi, delivered an important speech titled "The Fastest Parallel EVM Layer".

Larry stated that Sei is committed to expanding the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to achieve a throughput of 5 billion gas per second. Through parallel execution, rapid consensus, and optimal storage, Sei has created the highest performance EVM in history. In the future, they will rebuild the EVM from the ground up focused on consensus, storage, and execution. The Giga upgrade will continue to enhance Sei's performance by optimizing the consensus mechanism and increasing network throughput. After the upgrade, Sei's expected TPS (transactions per second) is projected to double to 10,000 TPS to meet the demands of enterprise-scale applications.

Data from Defillama shows that in the past month, the TVL growth of the Sei network has increased by 85%, leading all public chains. Notably, several high-growth projects have emerged in the Sei ecosystem such as Yei Finance, Sailor Finance, and Silo, etc., with the leading DeFi protocol Yei Finance leveraging the characteristics of the high-performance public chain provided by SEI to create an integrated cross-chain lending and trading liquidity market, providing users with an experience equivalent to CEX.$SEI
