Just now, Celestia delivered a new report card: Eden is live, giving AI agents their own “training ground” 🤖

On October 16, Celestia launched Eden, a high-performance EVM chain. Data availability runs directly on Celestia, gas is paid in TIA, and blocks are produced in about 100 milliseconds. The team’s stated ambition is modest: an experimental sandbox for researching how AI agents can trade and make payments on-chain. In the first testnet experiment, agents issued their own tokens and traded with one another, while model inference costs were settled on-chain via x402.

The market reacted first:
🔹 Binance spot TIA opened at around 0.47 USDT on October 10
🔹 It surged to a high of 0.769 USDT in this run
🔹 It has since pulled back to around 0.667, down about 5.5% over 24 hours

My take: It’s definitely a fresh story, and the logic makes sense—AI agents need blockspace to operate. But some reports have also calculated that from September 18 to October 15, the amount of data rollups posted to Celestia each day fell by about 26%. The price has clearly outpaced usage. The key question now is whether Eden can drive real TIA consumption, rather than just a wave of excitement.

Do you think AI agents will become the next wave of “users” for public blockchains?
