Whoa, did Grayscale just lower the bar for getting in another notch? 🏦

Just now, Grayscale announced a partnership with investment platform Republic to offer three private crypto products to eligible investors (including U.S. Accredited Investors and non-U.S. users), with a minimum subscription of around $2,500.

The three products look roughly like this:
🔹 DeFi Fund: a basket of UNI, AAVE, ONDO, ENA, CRV, and LDO
🔹 Decentralized AI Fund: NEAR, TAO, RENDER, and FIL
🔹 Data Network Trust: a single holding, DATA

In plain English: shares in thematic funds like these used to have higher minimums and fewer ways to access them. This time, through Republic, Grayscale is bringing three narratives—DeFi, decentralized AI, and data networks—to an entry point eligible investors can access. It’s not an open door for retail investors, but the reach of institutional asset management has expanded another step.

Which do you think these “thematic baskets” will do first: heat up AI-related coins, or mostly serve as allocation tools for eligible investors? 👇
