Whoa, Thailand’s Bitcoin ETFs are opening the gates tomorrow? 🇹🇭

On October 8, Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued 11 notices at once, officially finalizing the rules for domestic Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. They take effect tomorrow (October 16). $BTC can be included in products from day one.

Key points:
1️⃣ Passive funds must maintain an annual average net exposure to a single asset of at least 80% of net assets
2️⃣ Assets can only be held by licensed digital asset custodians regulated by the SEC
3️⃣ Listings are limited to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET); investors must complete investor education and sign a risk acknowledgment before buying
4️⃣ No leverage—brokerages cannot use margin financing to buy crypto ETFs
5️⃣ Overseas crypto ETF depositary receipts won’t be allowed initially, keeping even lower-threshold investors out

Put simply, Thailand is building a channel for compliant domestic capital to get “true exposure, without leverage.” Another piece has fallen into place in Asia’s ETF puzzle.

Do you think this move will boost $BTC sentiment first, or is it mostly a regulatory signal? Let’s discuss in the comments 👇
