The giant cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced a comprehensive update on listing and delisting criteria across Spot, Futures, and Binance Alpha private platforms. The update shows that the project has a rigorous due diligence process focused on the project's fundamentals, tokenomics, technical risks, and regulatory compliance.
In the official announcement titled 'Important Notice on Information and Listing Requirements of Binance', Binance detailed its multi-layered approach to evaluating cryptocurrency projects seeking to be listed. The listing framework currently includes three main categories:
Binance Alpha
Divided into circulating and non-circulating projects, Alpha Featured serves as a launchpad for early-stage and emerging projects.
Projects with uncirculated tokens:
Include projects in the Token Generation Event (TGE) phase, eligible to participate in Private TGE or Alpha Initial Airdrop. Key evaluation criteria include:
User adoption and industry relevance
Business model applicability
Token distribution and ownership empowerment program
Code quality, security history, and technical complexity
Team background checks and compliance risk assessments
Projects with circulating tokens:
Projects currently being publicly traded must meet performance criteria including:
Trading volume and liquidity
Historical price stability
Market value (MCap) and Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV)
Binance currently supports Alpha for projects on BNB Chain, Solana, Base, and Ethereum
Future listing
Projects listed on Binance Futures are evaluated based on their Alpha history or if not Alpha, through a comprehensive fundamental assessment. Key criteria include:
High trading volume and stable prices
No pump-and-dump behavior
Maintain compliance with unlocking programs and tokenomics
Legal framework and team integrity
Spot listing
For projects applying for listing, Binance will use the following criteria:
Current futures contracts or projects listed on Alpha: These contracts must demonstrate stable performance and a sustainable level of trading interest.
New TGE projects: Teams are encouraged to explore Binance Launchpool, Megadrop, or HODLer Airdrops before applying for a direct listing.
Delisting criteria
Binance will conduct regular evaluations of all listed assets to maintain listing standards. Projects may be delisted based on the following warning signs:
Team and management issues:
Lack of development or updates
Poor communication with Binance or the community
Failure to respond to due diligence requests
Major disruption in team or ownership
Market performance:
Low trading activity or market depth
Price volatility or manipulation
Persistent negative sentiment or loss of community support
Security and compliance:
Network vulnerabilities or past security breaches
Unexplained changes in tokenomics that disadvantage holders
Failure to comply with evolving legal obligations
Fraudulent or unethical behavior
