Just took a short on $ETH because I see it dipping below $1000 in the near term.

Closed the ETHUSDT perp position for +1,220.88 USDT in profit, which worked out to about +3.87 percent. Felt like the right call based on the setup.

The entire crypto market is shaking massively, #BTC is losing important supports, and Solana is being dragged down without brakes in its wake. Those who blindly try to catch the falling knife here are just burning their fingers.

Why shorting is currently the only logical choice:
The Macro Trend: We've been seeing lower highs and lower lows for days in the 4h and daily charts. As long as this trend doesn't sustainably reverse, every short pump is just an invitation for the next sell-off.

The Indicators: Check out the SAR and the Bollinger Bands – we're literally glued to the lower band, and the selling pressure isn't letting up. The RSI has also turned back down immediately after brief recoveries in the 1h chart.

The Overnight Danger for Longs: When the US session closes and the volume thins out, often just a small push can trigger the next long liquidations in a cascading manner. That's exactly what I'm speculating on overnight.

Conclusion: You have to trade the market in front of you – not the one you wish for. Right now, the bears are in charge, and I'm gratefully taking profits on the way down. Even small cattle make mess in the cellar!
