$FOREST ranked second on last night’s gainers list at +126%; its pool price is twice the off-market price

I didn’t write about the top gainer—I wrote about the runner-up. First place was JCT, up +132%. That looks impressive, but it traded just $1,460 in a day, with a pool of a little over $80,000. That kind of gain was manufactured by a thin market; there’s nothing to see, and writing about it would just be misleading you. Second-place $FOREST is different: it did $700,000 in 24-hour trading volume across more than 8,200 trades. There were 4,130 buys totaling $359,000 and 4,100 sells totaling $342,000—almost perfectly balanced, with an average trade of around $85. That’s a strong retail-trading profile. This is real volume, not an artificial pump, so it’s worth taking a closer look.

$FOREST is the token of Forest Protocol, on BSC. The project is a Web3 game launchpad and AMM. Its model is called Playable Tokens: tokens for mini-apps that you can play directly. Its flagship game, Zeeverse, reportedly has 20,000 daily active users (according to Gate’s official page). Backers include Mechanism Capital and TreasureDAO. On September 1, 2025, it was featured in Binance Wallet’s 36th TGE, and it was listed on Gate the same day. It’s been on the Alpha rankings for a year and a half, so it’s a familiar name. The contract shown on its Ave page is 0x11cf6bf6d87cb0eb9c294fd6cbfec91ee3a1a7d0, matching several market-data sites—it’s the real deal, not an impostor.

Let’s do the math: the current price is around $0.0424, with a market cap of about $21.2 million (based on a total supply of 500 million). It traded $700,000 in 24 hours, while the pool is only $416,000—that’s almost two full pool turnovers in a day. There are 5,450 holders. Then there’s the glaring figure: the top 10 addresses hold 95% of the supply. The price has surged, but 95% of the tokens are in the hands of just 10 addresses. This market could turn on a dime. There are positives, too: DEV 0, snipers 0, insider wallets 0, coordinated accumulation 0—the on-chain activity looks clean.

There’s another, more interesting calculation: the pool price tracked by the rankings is $0.0424, but public quotes on several off-market exchanges are currently around $0.019 (according to third-party data)—almost half the pool price. That means last night’s +126% gain happened mainly in the Alpha-tracked pool, while the off-market price hasn’t caught up at all. The off-market market isn’t recognizing this price, while the pool keeps climbing; the gap is right there.

Here’s the conclusion upfront: put it in the “watch” basket, with caution. The volume is real, and so is the narrative (a game launchpad with real daily active users). But with the top 10 holding 95% and the pool price twice the off-market price, chasing the rally doesn’t look like a good risk-reward trade. There’s just one thing to watch next: either the off-market price rises and closes the gap, or the pool price gets knocked back down to reality.
