ZEC under pressure intraday | Zebra early-relay fix under review | Hold $1,249 My stance is to wait and see; I’m not buying the dip for now. ZEC is still among Binance Square’s Most Searched assets over the past six hours, but it is not marked as a Rapid Riser. High interest does not mean funds have flowed back in. In the Zebra repository maintained by the Zcash Foundation, PR #12318 proposes fixing the scheduling of an early relay: after a chain-tip switch, if asynchronous cleanup of an old scheduled task has not yet run, the next block may pass validation but miss the optional early broadcast, and only propagate to nodes after it is committed. The original issue, #12316, specifies that the impact is on the timing of optional early relay. The PR is still open and has not been merged, so it would be wrong to say the mainnet has been fixed, let alone exaggerate this into a consensus failure or a funds-security incident. This development update is relevant to ZEC because node-propagation details could affect message-delivery efficiency under extreme conditions. In the long run, this needs to be validated through code review, testing, and actual adoption by nodes. It does not change ZEC’s issuance, privacy-proof rules, or directly bring in spot buying. What traders should watch more closely is whether fund flows and price move in the same direction. The Farside table shows that ZCSH recorded net inflows of about $1.8 million on November 6, after net outflows of about $11 million on the previous trading day. The two days went in opposite directions; a modest one-day inflow does not confirm a trend. The table covers only this one product, so it cannot be extrapolated to mean that all institutions are buying ZEC. At the time of writing, ZEC/USD on Kraken is around $1,276, with a daily open near $1,321, an intraday high of about $1,362, and a low of about $1,250—well below the daily open. Price remains weak despite a modest inflow on the fund’s previous trading day. This only shows that fund-flow data cannot currently be used to infer immediate price action, and the decline cannot be attributed to the Zebra proposal. In the short term, I see the area around $1,250 as a support zone to watch, and around $1,321 as the first hurdle for recovering the intraday loss. A break below $1,249 would invalidate the existing support view. If price recovers $1,321 but volume does not follow, chasing the rally is still not worthwhile. If I were trading this myself, I would stay out for now and only consider a conditional spot long, with a planned position of no more than 0.25% of total capital and no leverage. The entry trigger is for ZEC to first return above $1,321 and hold there for two one-hour candles, then pull back to around $1,305 without breaking below it. Until triggered, the position is 0%. The first target is $1,360, where I would sell half; the second target is $1,388, with the remaining position closed if the one-hour candle closes back below $1,321. The initial stop-loss is $1,290. If price breaks below $1,249 before entry, I would cancel the plan and wait to reassess. If the PR review overturns the issue description, I would also withdraw my assessment of the development implications. This is only a plan based on conditions; it does not mean I have entered a trade or made a profit.
