【SpaceX’s “Starship” Completes 13th Test Flight; the Spacecraft Plunges into the Indian Ocean】July 25—On the afternoon of July 24, U.S. Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) heavy-lift rocket “Starship” lifted off from the launch site in the southern part of Texas at 24:00 U.S. Central Time, conducting its 13th test flight.

The rocket’s first-stage “Super Heavy” booster splashed down in waters near the Gulf of Mexico. The second-stage “Starship” spacecraft completed a suborbital flight and then splashed down in the Indian Ocean.

The launch took place at 17:51 on July 24, U.S. Eastern Time.

On July 24, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk said in a 90-minute interview with The Economist that AI could surpass human intelligence within the next five years, and he predicted that in around the next decade, AI and robots may drive the world into an “era of extreme abundance.”

Musk believes that once AI systems and robots have sufficiently powerful digital intelligence and productive capacity, the global economy could approach a “state of infinite supply.” Human work would no longer be a necessary condition for maintaining life, and the importance of money may gradually decline.
