According to Foresight News, Hong Kong's Deputy Secretary for Financial Services, Huang Weilun, has announced that over 220 Web3 related companies from more than 20 countries and regions, including mainland China and Europe, have set up offices in Hong Kong. These companies range from virtual asset exchanges, blockchain infrastructure companies, blockchain network security companies, to virtual currency wallets and payment companies.

The Special Administrative Region government is committed to striking a balance between promoting development and appropriate regulation, particularly in the field of virtual assets. A comprehensive and clear regulatory system is key to the sustainable development of virtual assets.
