The king of cryptocurrencies continues to consolidate above $30,000 as whales suddenly move tens of thousands of Bitcoin ( BTC ).

Blockchain investigation service Whale Alert initially discovered a series of Bitcoin transactions totaling 28,377 BTC, worth more than $856 million.

The largest transaction of the past day involved a crypto whale moving 9,819 BTC worth nearly $300 million from one unknown wallet to another.

In another transaction, a deep-pocketed entity sent 5,503 BTC worth more than $165 million between unidentified wallets and spent about $10 to process the transaction.

Another transfer saw a crypto whale move 5,000 BTC worth over $150 million from one unknown wallet to another. The deep-pocketed investor paid less than $7 to move the huge pile of Bitcoin.

Other large BTC transactions in the past 24 hours involved the movement of Bitcoin between wallets of unknown origin and centralized cryptocurrency exchanges.

One whale withdrew hundreds of Bitcoin from cryptocurrency exchange Binance, while another whale sent BTC to an exchange.

  • 2,058 BTC worth $62.28 million transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase

  • 997 BTC worth $30.49 million transferred from Binance to wallet of unknown origin

Bitcoin is trading at $30,232, down slightly on the day.
