#walrus Separates Execution from Storage for Better Performance.

One of the smarter but often overlooked design decisions behind Walrus is the deliberate separation between execution and storage layers. Execution layers get optimized for speed and fast settlement while storage layers focus on durability and long-term scale. Attempting to do both jobs simultaneously usually creates tradeoffs that weaken performance on each side.

Walrus avoids this problem by concentrating exclusively on storage and delegating execution tasks to blockchain networks that are specifically built for that purpose. This focused approach allows the storage economics to be designed around data persistence rather than transaction throughput and removes the pressure for storage infrastructure to compete directly with execution layer fees.

Over time this modular architecture creates systems that are simpler to understand and easier to integrate with and significantly less fragile overall. Each layer performs a clear dedicated purpose and nothing gets forced into roles it was never designed to handle properly.!!!
