According to Blockworks, Degen chain, a layer-3 blockchain, has been experiencing an extended downtime, with no blocks produced in over 42 hours. The last update from Degen's X account indicated that a resync was expected to be completed around 9 am ET, or 6 am PT. However, the network remains stalled hours later. The post also mentioned that after the resync, the chain would be tested to ensure all data affected by the reorganization is restored.

Degen's chain explorer reveals that no transactions have occurred today, and the last transaction was two days ago. The last update from third-party infrastructure provider Conduit is nearly 24 hours old. On Friday, following a custom config change at 2 pm ET, 11 am PT, two Conduit chains, Degen and Proof of Play's Apex, stopped posting batches for more than 24 hours. Upon resuming, the first batches triggered reorgs on both chains. Conduit is currently working with both teams and Offchain Labs to restore service and minimize impact to users.

Degen chain, designed to provide developers access to the memecoin community, has gained popularity especially among Farcaster users. Degen, an ERC-20 token launched in January 2024, has reshaped the Farcaster ecosystem by enabling Casters to reward others with Degen for posting quality content.
