According to U.Today, Ripple, the U.S. fintech giant, is actively seeking a business development manager to promote the adoption of XRP Ledger among Japanese companies. The announcement was made by Emi Yoshikawa, Ripple's Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, on her X (formerly Twitter) account. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong interest in Web3 and crypto sectors, along with business development experience. The position is based in Tokyo and requires the ability to frequently participate in Web3-related events in person.

Yoshikawa emphasized that joining Ripple as a business development officer for B2B clients in Japan offers excellent career opportunities. The position is open to individuals who are curious and enjoy interacting with others. This move follows Ripple's expansion efforts in Canada in Q4, 2023, where it opened several positions with a focus on B2B.

In related news, SBI VC Trade, a subsidiary of SBI, a local fintech giant in Japan, has joined the XRP Ledger validator ecosystem. Ripple has been a significant player in the Japanese remittances market for many years, largely due to its relationship with SBI. SBI VC Trade, known as a cryptocurrency exchange, will contribute to the integrity, decentralization, and security of the XRP Ledger's transactions. The XRP price has seen a 1.21% increase, with the coin currently trading at $0.5051 on major spot centralized exchanges.
