In 2021, I missed out on making over $1M from $BAKE
Hours of research went straight into the drain because I failed to see the long game
Profit isn't profit when you paper generational wealth
Here is my failure for you to learn
In the early months of the year 2021, right after the massive run of Defi tokens, I engaged in my usual hours of intense research and sleepless nights
This research, coupled with the simulation strategy that showed another project run would come in the direction of the DEX tokens narrative, led me to discover $BAKE
$BAKE is the governance token for @bakery_swap, which was at the center of the DeFi summer
After discovering $BAKE I invested about $2000, and within a few days, I sold for a 300% profit
Coming from a position of few losses, a $4000 gain seemed incredible, but little did I know that would be my greatest and all-time regret
Fast forward to a few weeks later, $BAKE had done a 500x from my initial entry point
It felt like the heavens were against me; I mean, I wanted the ground to swallow me
A friend in my community who understood the strategy I'm about to explain bought with $10 and held to $2000; another bought with $10 and sold for $4000
You can imagine the pain I would feel when I was told their profits.
Yes! I was glad, but I was that alpha caller who did not trust his own calls to HODL, so others kept making money off me while I remained in the same position, constantly making circles with zero conviction😢
I was supposed to be that 22-year-old with over $1M as my net worth, but I had $4000 instead
Pain beyond my possible threshold
Well, we all have been a victim of this at one time or another
How you sold that NFT for $1300, but it was valued at $29k a few days laterlater
