Twitter sued by landlord for failing to pay more than $130,000 in rent for San Francisco office

Twitter has been sued for not paying $136,250 in rent for its office in San Francisco, California. The landlord, Columbia Reit-650 California, said that it notified Twitter on December 16, 2022 that if the rent is not paid, Twitter will default in five days. Columbia Reit said in a complaint filed with the California Supreme Court on Thursday that Twitter failed to comply with the contract.

It was previously reported on December 13, 2022 that Twitter had not paid rent for its headquarters and other global offices for several weeks. The company was also sued earlier this month for refusing to pay for two charter flights
