The Cancun upgrade should be the biggest ETH ecosystem event in the second half of the year. In this cycle, our core configuration is ETH rather than BTC.

Just a few days ago, Devnet-9 was launched on September 27. This is an important testnet that provides a full set of programmatic changes for the upcoming Dencun upgrade. Key Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), such as EIP 7514 and EIP 7516, will be activated for the first time in Devnet-9. If all goes well in this testing phase, the time for the launch of the Dencun mainnet will be clearer after the Ethereum developer conference Devconnect in November 2023.
The core reasons why we are optimistic about ETH in this cycle:
First, we value its potential for continuous upgrading in the future. Just like Tesla cars, it can be continuously upgraded through OTA and always remain young.
Second, we are attracted by its future expansion advantages and the modular ecosystem it builds. ETH is used as the underlying layer to ensure the stability and security of the system; L2 ecosystem, application chain, alliance chain, etc. are built on it.
Third, the current huge ETH application construction has formed a system and system that is difficult to shake. This siphon effect will eventually form a Matthew effect, where the winner takes all. At present, the only one that can form such a situation is ETH.
Currently, the two L2 public chains that benefit the most from the entire Cancun upgrade are ARB and OP.
OP has excellent scalability, ETH security integration, EVM compatibility, and provides a standardized Optimistic Rollup Chain. In addition, the OP Stack software development kit (SDK) developed by the Optimism Foundation is becoming a new weapon for major manufacturers to enter L2.
