• RISEx absorbed the total loss of 673,011.56 USDC
• The funds came from RISEx trading commission revenue in July
• Users don’t need to file a claim or recover anything

WHAT HAPPENED?

At 07:21 UTC on August 3, an unauthorized address withdrew 673,011.56 USDC from an RWA strategy inside the XLP vault.

According to the team, the withdrawal was possible due to a configuration error that had existed since the strategy launched on July 13.

The team detected the issue within minutes and patched it at 08:09 UTC—less than an hour later.

WHO PAID FOR THE LOSS?

RISEx did.

Rather than transferring the loss to the XLP vault and its depositors, the protocol used part of the trading fees generated in July to cover the full amount.

In simple terms:

• Users: $0 loss
• RISEx: absorbed the $673k loss
• Unauthorized address: currently holds the funds

CURRENT STATUS

• RISEx is operating normally
• The XLP vault is operating normally
• The affected strategy has been patched
• No additional unauthorized withdrawals were found
• No equivalent issue was found in the other vault strategies

RISEx has involved SEAL 911 to track the funds and is trying to contact the implicated address. Recovery is not guaranteed, but users have already been fully compensated regardless of the outcome.
