$DUSK this move is kind of a big step for both sides. Dusk is a fintech scale-up based in Amsterdam and after working together with NPEX for some time, they finally decided to take it further. During their partnership period, they were already testing pilot projects focused on creating new and innovative financial products. So this share acquisition did not just come from nowhere, it was already building slowly. For investors, this move brings more confidence and more opportunities ahead.

In the latest funding round, NPEX welcomed two new shareholders, Dusk and Blikkenburg, which is the family office of investor Dirk Lindenbergh. This fresh capital will help NPEX grow faster and push more into digital transformation of their platform. For Dusk, this is more of a strategic decision because working closely with a regulated stock exchange fits their goal of changing and improving the financial sector. NPEX operates under an MTF license with MiFID II rules, meaning everything follows strict European regulations, which is very important in this space.

According to Mark van der Plas, the CEO of NPEX, this investment and new shareholders mark an important milestone for the exchange. He explained that NPEX wants to become the leading platform in its market and grow much faster. Especially during the pandemic period, many businesses are looking for better ways to access finance, and technology is playing a huge role here. That is why, in his words, Dusk fits perfectly into this vision.

Both Dusk and NPEX believe there is a lot of room to improve how securities are issued and traded. By improving processes, changing business models, and using the right technology, they want to make things cheaper and faster. With tokenization, shares can become digital and traded in very small amounts, which was not easy before. Also, things like shareholder meetings or dividend payments, which usually cost a lot, can now be automated. This helps reduce overall costs and makes alternative financing more attractive to many companies.

For investors, the benefits are also clear. Lower costs and fewer middlemen mean more options to invest in different types of securities. Investors can interact with their investments in new ways and feel more involved as shareholders. Dusk, as a platform for innovative financial services, says this partnership already creates real value. As both partner and shareholder, they have worked on pilot projects to digitize NPEX services and infrastructure. With their previous experience, Dusk believes they can quickly add value across the EU using their technology, supported by NPEX’s MTF license. Beyond just the tech side, Dusk also wants to help grow NPEX’s deal flow and expand its user base.
