September non-farm payrolls significantly exceeded expectations. In September, seasonally adjusted non-farm payrolls in the United States increased by 336,000, while the market expected 170,000—marking the largest rise since January 2023. The U.S. unemployment rate in September came in at 3.8%, versus the market expectation of 3.7%, slightly higher than expected and unchanged from the previous month. After the release of the non-farm employment data, U.S. stock index futures for the three major indexes quickly fell. (Jin Shi)
