On Oct 29, Binance faced a $6.3 Billion hack - biggest in crypto history.
FBI just confirmed that North Korea's TraderTraitor group, which is part of Lazarus Group, is behind this hack. Same group was behind $1.5B Bybit hack in 2025.
According to FBI, hackers are now converting stolen funds into ETH and laundering through DeFi platforms and swap services. FBI has flagged hundreds of addresses and asked exchanges to block them.
What Binance Said:
Binance said it has set aside $6.34 Billion in company funds to cover the loss. Users funds are safe. Withdrawals will be restored by Nov 1.
