Why is nobody talking about a fee model that does not force you to spend the asset you actually wanted to hold?

That leak is familiar. You build a position, then every transaction nibbles at it, and the exit you planned gets harder to see.

Midnight splits value from capacity. $ADA and $NEAR still use a transferable native asset to pay for network activity. Here, $NIGHT stays the public governance and value asset. Register it and it generates DUST, which pays for private transactions. DUST is not another coin you can send. It does not transfer, and it regenerates over time, so capacity refills instead of permanently draining the bag.

Treat the two layers differently. Hold $NIGHT for the exposure and governance you meant to keep, and watch DUST as spendable capacity rather than as something you can exit. Check that it is actually generating before you need a private transaction, and do not price that capacity like a liquid position. If the split holds, fees stop competing with conviction.

Where do you think this goes from here?
