At 4:47 this morning Trump dug up a two-week-old article about Alito maybe retiring and posted "A great man!!!"

Alito already said he's staying this term.

But midterms are in 18 days. Republicans control the Senate right now. If they lose it, his 4th Supreme Court pick gets a lot harder.

So he's publicly shoving a 76-year-old justice toward the door while he still has the votes.
